Please follow the standard Construction Plant-Hire Association full conditions (View Here). We have made them shorter below highlighting some key conditions.

• The hire period starts when the tool / machine leaves our yard with a minimum of 1 day hire charge on weekdays and 2 days on weekends. (Except some gardening equipment)
• 1 day hire is 24 hours and 1 week is 7 calendar days from leaving our yard
• Weekend can be collected / delivered Friday evening or Saturday morning & returned/ collected Monday morning before 5.30 am.
• A full inspection and serviceability of the machine / tool is carried out by the hirer before being used. No responsibility is taken for breakdowns.
• We expect the machines to come back in a used reasonable dirty condition however please clean concrete / cement off immediately after use. Cleaning or new part charges will apply if concrete / cement is not cleaned off.
• The hirer is responsible for the safe keeping of plant / tool and should not allow incompetent operators to use machinery unsupervised.
• If a break down or large amount of damage occurs, please notify Stockton Hire Immediately. We will do our best to repair or provide another machine.

• No re hiring, sublet, or hire to a third party, without our prior written permission
• Please inform Stockton Hire if the machine is being moved to another site or some assistance is required to move elsewhere.
• When hiring for a long period of time (4 or more weeks) we will need access to service and check the machine/ tools serviceability.
• Please contact for delivery prices, free delivery for very local villages
• Stockton hire will notify you when we will deliver please allow / arrange our access, transport charge will apply if we are unable to gain access at £35 per hour from our yard.
• Plant and small machines will be supplied with a full tank of fuel and expect to be returned full. The hirer will be fully responsible if the wrong fuel is put in the machine.
• A charge will apply if the machine is not refuelled.
• No responsibility is taken by Stockton Hire of any damage to timbers, pipes, cables, roadways etc when the machinery / tools are in use.

• No deposit is required for large plant equipment and a £80 deposit will be required for power tools, a driving license and matching addressed utility bill is required on all hires unless previously hired from Stockton Hire.
• A £2000 excess for plant and £500 on small power tools will be liable from the hirer if the item is stolen when hired any damage will be charged for a new item such as panel, rams, pipes. We expect small scratches and scuffs, not dents smashed windows.
• Any concrete left on a machine will have a excess of £1000, STRICTLY NO CONCRETE IN DUMPERS OR DIGGER BUCKETS
• Trade users please provide your hire in insurance certificate.
