Stockton Hire was started in 2018 when Sean was struggling to get weekend hire around the hours that suited him, so he purchased the small micro digger to finish renovation on a property in Taunton. The micro digger was easily moveable through a standard size gate and up a small set of steps, allowing Sean to clear the garden and install a fence. After using the digger himself to speed up the time and cost of manual labour Sean started hiring it out to friends and advertising locally. As the digger became more popular Sean purchased more machinery, and small power tools to offer complete tool packages to allow the customer to hire all they need from one place. Sean also added a selection of trailers from the small plant trailer, to pick up the smaller item and tip runs to the large triple axle trailer to collect large 4×4’s and vans safely.

Delivery & Collection

We are open Monday to Saturday standard collection, however we will deliver and collect from 6 am to 9 pm 7 days a week to suit our customers need. After struggling to find a digger at short notice previously we are fully aware of weekend inspirations to start a new project. Feel free to call or message at a reasonable hour to check our availability. Please contact for delivery prices within 20miles of TA3 6QP. We will be more than happy to travel further to deliver machinery as,  Stockton hire is ran alongside HLR Spares who will be around the South West collecting vehicles.

Payment & Conditions

Please bring 2 forms of id: a up to date driving license with UK address with matching utility bill. If the machine is collected from our yard we will require information of where it is being used, goods in transit insurance and a suitable vehicle for the machine to be transported on. All tools and machines are paid for before leaving the premises. A deposit of £80 will be taken when hiring small items and the hire charge will come from this and the difference will be refunded when the item is returned. Full terms and conditions.
